Community Development



The Community Development Office is responsible for interacting with the business community.  This department assists with the permitting process, aiding in leasing or purchasing the best location for a proposed business, recruiting businesses, as well as marketing support for the Newton business community.

The Community Development Office aids the Tax Assessor with answering questions, assisting in the appeal process, maintaining property files, and managing tax exempt properties.
