Ordinances
The term "Ordinance" means and includes any act or regulation of the Governing Body of a municipality required to be reduced to writing and read at more that one meeting and published.
Each ordinance must have two readings before passage.
The first reading or introduction is by title only.
At a subsequent meeting, the second reading is followed by a public hearing in which the public may speak on the matter before it is put to a vote by the Town Council.
Upon passage, the ordinance is published by title in the municipality's official newspaper of record.
