Our next Council meeting is Wednesday, September 10th at 7:00pm. There will be an Executive Session on Contract Negotiations following same.

Morris Lake was 13 inches below the top of the spillway on 8.25.14.
The new computer system for the Filtration Plant has been installed and is operational.
Letters were mailed out to the residents of Diller Avenue, Stuart Street, and Townsend Street advising that paving will begin weather permitting September 15th.
I met with Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick this week to speak with him about our tax exempt properties project. I will be discussing same with Sen. Tom Kean, Jr. next month.
We will discuss my outgoing letters on the current tax exempt properties at the September 10th Council meeting. This will be Phase I of the two-phase project.
A meeting was held today regarding the DPW regionalization study with Linda Murphy to discuss the baseline review.
Dispatch contract renewal letters have been mailed to our existing customers. I will keep you posted on their responses.
Plans are locked in for the 1st Annual Newton Country Cool Festival! Co-sponsored by the Town of Newton, Mitchell Insurance Agency and Sussex County Community College, this event will be a fundraiser for both the Sussex County Food Pantry and Newton Fire Museum. Save the date – Saturday, October 18th from Noon – 5pm at SCCC.
