APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Lorraine's office has prepared the minutes from the April 27th Regular and Executive meetings for consideration and approval.

This is for those that wish to address the Town Council but do not plan on staying for the whole meeting. There is a note to the public on the agenda to please keep their comments to a maximum of 5 minutes. This allows ample time for all whom wish to speak and keeps the meeting moving forward. The public can speak on any matter.
COUNCIL & MANAGER REPORTS
There is one ordinance for introduction:
Ordinance 2015-10 will establish a Tree Bank. Once this is re-introduced it has to go to the Planning Board for review and comment.
Resolution #67-2015* will authorize the execution of an agreement with Elavon, Inc., for the processing of credit card payments in the Recreation Department. This will add a convenience for our customers looking to purchase pool memberships and other recreation activities/services.
Resolution #68-2015* will certify the annual audit. Dawn has completed the Corrective Action Plan, which has been shared with you on the Google Drive.
Resolution #69-2015* will authorize executing an interlocal contract for cooperative purchasing through the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGACBuy). This is being done in conjunction with the purchase of the new fire truck.
Resolution #70-2015* will authorize the purchase of a new fire truck through the HGACBuy.
Resolution #71-2015* will authorize the insertion of funds into the current budget for police body cameras.
Resolution #72-2015* will recognize Municipal Clerks’ Week for 2015.
Resolution #73-2015* will earmark Affordable Housing Trust Fund monies for RPM Development – Newton Town Centre Project.
Resolution #74-2015* will approve bills and vouchers for payment.

Morris Lake was 3 inches below the top of the spillway on 5.4.15.

Newton is currently on Sparta’s water system while the contractor for 85 Sparta LLC finishes the 16” watermain construction. The pressure test is occurring today along with the bacteria test. Newton hopes to be back on Morris Lake water the early part of next week.
Preliminary review of the Employee Handbook has commenced.
Our leadership team met with Executive Coach Dena Moscola on Wednesday morning after our staff meeting to have leadership training. The session went very well and I thank Debi for coordinating same.
The retirement function for Bill Dressel/100th Anniversary of the NJ State League of Municipalities event in East Brunswick was very well attended last evening.
Good TRC news – next meeting looks to have plans coming in for Thorlabs, Taco Bell, and Dunkin’ Donuts – a planning trifecta!
