ADJOURNMENT

THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake was 7 inches below the top of the spillway on 6.22.15.

Looks like both the Spring Street Project and Trinity Street Project will now commence on or about July 13th.

Clear Channel has our traffic sponsorship information ready to go for the Spring Street Project. A reminder we will be promoting same in July and August.

We are planning renovation ideas for Firehouse #2 in next year’s capital budget. I met onsite with Tom Kosten of FKA on Tuesday with staff members to discuss various options. It is my goal to have Tom provide three scenarios which will assist me in my October budget deliberations.

Speaking of Firehouse #2 – the plan right now is to consolidate the two voting rooms at the firehouse into one room for the November 2015 elections. Next year, in anticipation of Firehouse #2 renovations, the municipal election, June primary and November general election would all be held at Town Hall.

I was interviewed yesterday by WPIX-11 on the decency standards we are discussing. They also interviewed Sara from PB&J – the segment should air on Monday or Tuesday of next week.

The Clerk’s office is pulling together ideas for the new municipal office directory in the lobby of Town Hall – the new bulletin board looks great!

Have a great weekend!

Yours for a Better Newton,
TSRJR
