THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake was 38 inches below the top of the spillway on 10.26.15.
I distributed the press release regarding the new Town Shuttle Bus service which commences Tuesday at 11:00am. We are grateful for the positive press thus far and for the support from Thorlabs and SCCC. Happy travels!
We met onsite this week at Firehouse #2 to discuss the upcoming renovation project. Tom Kosten and Cory will provide several options for me to review for the 2016 capital budget. Considering the building has not been updated for five decades, this will be our large capital project for the next cycle.
The Land Conservancy of NJ is working on an update to the Sussex County Open Space plan and met with us to discuss Newton projects related to Memory Park and other areas throughout Town.
I attended the SCEDP Mayors’ dinner with Mayor Flynn which went very well and I spoke at the annual GNCC Awards Dinner. Both events allowed us an opportunity to talk about the great things happening in Town.
Both the Grande Villaggio ribbon cutting and celebration at the Spring Street Pub & Grill were well attended and full of enthusiasm and good cheer!
Trinity Street traffic signals will be turned on Monday morning. Denville Line Striping will be onsite completing the stop bars and parking spaces. All necessary tree clearing was completed this week.
If you are interested in attending the Radio City Music Hall “Christmas Spectacular” on Sunday, November 29th please contact Kat Walker at x228 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a great weekend! Let’s Go Rangers!
Yours for a Better Newton,
