To our friends of the Jewish faith, Happy Hanukkah!

Everyone had a great time at the annual GNCC holiday parade – many thanks to all involved!

THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake was 42 inches below the top of the spillway on 11.30.15.

The new Town Hall lobby directory is operational like the Death Star! Check it out! Thank you to Michelle and DPW for your hard work on the project.

Jo-Med is progressing with the emergency sewer main project. They were onsite on Monday and completed two more lengths of sewer piping. They were not onsite due to the weather Tuesday and Wednesday. Due to the depth that has to be dug to get to the main the project is progressing slowly. They return on Monday.

I have written all of my department head evaluations and will disseminate same on Thursday, December 17th.

The budget meetings went very well on Tuesday – my thanks to all who participated in same.

I have sent to Byram an updated 2016 shared services agreement for Tax Collector. We have been pleased with our working relationship and hope to continue same for the New Year.

Routine business discussed at the staff meeting and Parking Authority meeting this week.

My thanks to staff and volunteers for a positive safety track record this past year. Other than a few matters, we were complimented for same at our quarterly safety committee meeting. Always remember to make safety a priority in your work areas.

The annual grab bag memorandum was distributed – once again we will be selecting a charity of choice to make a donation to – please participate and help those less fortunate this holiday season.

Have a great weekend! Star Wars in 14 days! Yes!

Yours for a Better Newton,
