Our first budget hearing is tomorrow at 9:00am. The next session will be Thursday at 6:00pm.
A reminder there are two interviews scheduled beginning at 6:30pm on Monday night and our next Town Council meeting will follow beginning at 7:00pm. Mr. Krasnomowitz’s and Mr. Mckernan”s volunteer applications have been shared with you on the Google Drive.

Lorraine's office has prepared the minutes from the January 25th Regular and Special meetings for consideration and approval.

This is for those that wish to address the Town Council but do not plan on staying for the whole meeting. There is a note to the public on the agenda to please keep their comments to a maximum of 5 minutes. This allows ample time for all whom wish to speak and keeps the meeting moving forward. The public can speak on any matter.

Ordinance 2016-1 will amend Chapter 100, Fees and Costs.
There is one (1) ordinance for introduction:
Ordinance 2016-2 will establish a CAP Bank. This is an annual procedure.
Resolution #23-2016* will approve bills and vouchers for payment.
Resolution #24-2016* will appoint Ms. Vangie Rochelle to the Newton Housing Authority.
Resolution #25-2016* will approve 2015 appropriation reserve transfers.
Resolution #26-2016* will authorize Change Order No. 1 ($3,000 credit) for the Roof Replacement Project at the WWTP.
Resolution #27-2016* will authorize the refund of redemption monies to an outside lien holder for 244 Spring Street.

Resolution #28-2016 will authorize entering into closed session to discuss a potential litigation matter.
THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake was 33 inches below the top of the spillway on 2.1.16.
Representatives came in this week to talk about expansion plans at Bristol Glen. We look forward to their submittals this summer.
My bi-monthly meeting with Dr. Greene went very well – a synopsis of same was emailed to you this past week.
Routine business discussed at the Parking Authority meeting with additional discussion on the Newton Town Centre project – RPM is working on the utility relocation as we speak.
