Our next Town Council meeting is Monday, May 23rd beginning at 7:00pm.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Lorraine's office has prepared the minutes from the May 11th Regular meeting for consideration and approval.

POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESENTATIONS
Chief Richards & Mayor Flynn will recognize officers for their life saving efforts.

COUNCIL & MANAGER REPORTS

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
This is for those that wish to address the Town Council but do not plan on staying for the whole meeting. There is a note to the public on the agenda to please keep their comments to a maximum of 5 minutes. This allows ample time for all whom wish to speak and keeps the meeting moving forward. The public can speak on any matter.

ORDINANCES
Ordinance 2016-5 is a $1,190,000 funding ordinance for various capital improvements.

Ordinance 2016-6 is an ordinance re-appropriating prior funds to provide for Jaws of Life for our new fire truck.

OLD BUSINESS
None.

CONSENT AGENDA
Resolution #81-2016* is for a capital budget amendment; this is done in conjunction with Ordinance 2016-6 above.

Resolution #82-2016* will authorize auctioning the 1999 Seagrave Pumper fire truck on GovDeals.com.

Resolution #83-2016* will authorize bills and vouchers for payment.

Application(s)* there is one application for a special permit for a social affair from the Newton Fire Department to be held on June 4th at the VFW.

THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake was18 inches below the top of the spillway on 5.16.16.

The DPW fixed a leaking water valve on Thursday. The crew was also out doing leak detection on Wednesday night.

Planning Board – approved the Krogh’s resolution and SC Habitat for Humanity application as well as the new AutoZone; denied the Townsquare Gardens application.

Routine business discussed at the bi-monthly health insurance fund meeting.

We had a successful audit conference with Tom Ferry today. 

Our planner, Jessica Caldwell, is speaking today regarding redevelopment on behalf of the Town at an environmental annual conference in Woodbridge today.  Thanks Jess!
