Our next Town Council meeting is Monday, June 13th beginning at 7:00pm.

Lorraine's office has prepared the minutes from the May 23rd Regular meeting and May 31st Special meeting for consideration and approval.

Dawn will note the Auditor’s comments for the record.

This is for those that wish to address the Town Council but do not plan on staying for the whole meeting. There is a note to the public on the agenda to please keep their comments to a maximum of 5 minutes. This allows ample time for all whom wish to speak and keeps the meeting moving forward. The public can speak on any matter.

There are two ordinances for 2nd reading and public hearing:

Ordinance 2016-6 is a re-appropriation ordinance to provide funding for the purchase of Jaws of Life for Fire Engine #3.

My bi-monthly meeting with Dr. Greene went very well this week – a synopsis was sent to Council members this week via email.

Congratulations to Anna King on being crowned Miss Newton on Wednesday night! She will represent the Town well this coming year.

Congratulations to John and Gercino on the closing of The Style Shop! Work should commence shortly on the 6-month renovation project. Two new retailers will come to Town (one food/one boutique) and nice high-end apartments on the two residential floors up above! We wish them well and also wish the Tolerico family the best of success and thank them for their many years of commitment to the Town.

Have a great weekend!

Yours in Service,
