Our next Town Council meeting is Monday night beginning at 7:00pm.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Lorraine’s office has prepared the minutes from the February 27th Regular meeting for consideration and approval.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
This is for those that wish to address the Town Council but do not plan on staying for the whole meeting. There is a note to the public on the agenda to please keep their comments to a maximum of 5 minutes. This allows ample time for all whom wish to speak and keeps the meeting moving forward. The public can speak on any matter.
COUNCIL & MANAGER REPORTS
The “Child Abuse Prevention” proclamation will be noted for the record.
There is one Utility Board appeal. Supporting documents have been shared with you on the Google Drive.
There are two ordinances for 2nd Reading and Public Hearing:
Ordinance 2017-4 will create a new sewer ordinance and establish sewer surcharge fees.
Ordinance 2017-5 will increase certain pool rates for the upcoming 2017 season. This ordinance shall be amended so the age for seniors will be changed from 62 to 55. The ordinance will then have to re-advertised and considered for adoption at the March 27th meeting.
We will continue the conversation about the Downtown Improvements/SID.
Resolution #48-2017* is a resolution appealing to the Legislature to approve a spending plan which fully funds the School Funding Reform Act.
Resolution #49-2017* will award the contract for the sidewalk portion of the Liberty Street project to Your Way Construction.
Resolution #50-2017* will award the Liberty Street Improvement project for paving and line striping to Tilcon and Denville Line Striping through the Morris County Co-op.
Resolution #51-2017* will concur with my appointment of a crossing guard.
Resolution #52-2017* will award the bid for the Auto Repair Service (Bid #6-2017) to Boonton Tire.
Resolution #53-2017* will authorize the cancellation of 2014 water and sewer charges for 24 Lawnwood Avenue which the Town foreclosed on in December.
Resolution #54-017* will approve bills and vouchers for payment.
Application(s)* will approve an application for a Social Affair permit for Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council, 133 Spring Street on May 6th from 4:30pm to 7:00pm.
