THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake is even with the top of the spillway as of August 28, 2017.
Work on the new social media business support website is continuing forward – pictures of businesses have been sent over and I worked on the design of the mobile-friendly site. The site will contain information on all of the businesses in Town and allow new businesses to go in and create an account. Stay tuned!
Grateful for the opportunity to have a productive working lunch with my good friend and the new County Administrator Greg Poff. We are lucky to have such a competent professional at the helm up the street.
JCP&L was able to come in this week to provide us with an update on the East Clinton Street environmental cleanup project.
Appreciate the positive articles in the NJ Herald on the Mayor’s well-received outreach regarding school consolidation, the ordinances related to lowering of various fees, and the spotlight on Style Shop renovations and Re-Collectibles expansion. Exciting things are happening in Newton with more to come…Armory, G&H, McGuire’s, Hicks Avenue, Spring Street, etc…
We are ready to commence our exciting market research project with students at my alma mater, Seton Hall University! Ten lucky students (2 teams of 5 students each) will be assigned to the Newton Project. I will keep everyone posted on our progress during the fall months – said project (which is being graded btw) runs September through December. Go Pirates!
Have a great Labor Day weekend! WE ARE – PENN STATE… ?
Yours in Service,
