A friendly reminder there is an Executive Session Monday, November 13th beginning at 6:00pm on Monday night followed by our next regular Town Council meeting beginning at 7:00pm.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Lorraine’s office has prepared the minutes from the October 23rd Special, Regular & Executive meetings for consideration and approval.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

This is for those that wish to address the Town Council but do not plan on staying for the whole meeting.  There is a note to the public on the agenda to please keep their comments to a maximum of 5 minutes and limited to one turn at the microphone.  This allows ample time for all whom wish to speak and keeps the meeting moving forward.  The public can speak on any matter.

ORDINANCES

There is one (1) ordinance for Introduction:

Ordinance 2017-21 will establish minimum and maximum salaries and wages for officers and employees for calendar year 2018.  

OLD BUSINESS 

CONSENT AGENDA

Resolution #213-2017* will appoint John Ragsdale to the Planning Board as an Alternate Member beginning January 1, 2018.

Resolution #214-2017* will authorize a lease agreement with NEC Financial Services, LLC for the new phone system.

Resolution #215-2017* will authorize auction of the old Parking Authority car on govdeals.com.

Resolution #216-2017* will authorize an agreement with the Parking Authority for 2018.

Resolution #217-2017* will authorize an agreement with James Sloan, Esq., for the services of Municipal Court Judge for calendar years 2018, 2019 & 2020.

Resolution #218-2017* will authorize an agreement with Jonathan E. McMeen, Esq., as Municipal Prosecutor for 2018.

Resolution #219-2017* will approve Change Order No. 2 for the RBC replacements at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Resolution #220-2017* will authorize renewal in the North Jersey Municipal Employee Benefits Fund for 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Resolution #221-2017* will confirm the refund of redemption monies to an outside lienholder for Block 22.10, Lot 18.

Resolution #221-2017* will confirm the refund of redemption monies to an outside lienholder for Block 13.04, Lot 4.

Resolution #223-2017* will approve bills and vouchers for payment.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Resolution #224-2017 will authorize entering into Executive Session for an Attorney – Client Privilege discussion on the PBA Grievance.

THE WEEK IN REVIEW

Morris Lake is 6 inches below the top of the spillway as of November 6, 2017.  

All departments have finalized their budget submittals for 2018 – thank you!

I received a resignation letter from Erv Lasso this week.  We wish him well in his future endeavors.

Congratulations to the BOE winners in Tuesday’s election.  We look forward to working with them.

Bids for the Firehouse No. 2 Demolition Project are being reviewed by Tom Kosten and Cory Stoner.

TRC reviewed three applications which will be on for the December PB meeting.

Several of us attended the wonderful ribbon cutting for the Roller Hockey rink capital improvements.

Routine business discussed at Statewide Insurance Fund, with the budget to be introduced later this month.

No newsletter next week with our editor and many attendees down in Atlantic City, NJ for the annual League of Municipalities Conference.  Safe travel!
