A friendly reminder the Annual Tree Lighting is scheduled to be held prior to our next Council meeting beginning at 6:00pm. Our next Town Council regular meeting is Monday, December 11th beginning at 7:00pm.

Lorraine’s office has prepared the minutes from the interviews and meeting from November 27th for consideration and approval.

This is for those that wish to address the Town Council but do not plan on staying for the whole meeting. There is a note to the public on the agenda to please keep their comments to a maximum of 5 minutes and limited to one turn at the microphone. This allows ample time for all whom wish to speak and keeps the meeting moving forward. The public can speak on any matter.

Resolution #236-2017* will concur with the Town Manager’s appointment of Special Police Officers.
Resolution #237-2017* will appoint Joe Carr as the Town’s representative to the Sussex County Water Quality Policy Advisory Committee.
Resolution #238-2017* will designate the Public Agency Compliance Officer for the Town for 2018.
Resolution #239-2017* will designate Theresa Schlosser, our Tax Collector, as the Tax Search Officer for 2018.
Resolution #240-2017* will appoint Adam Vough as the Town’s representative to the Sussex County Solid Waste Advisory Committee.
Resolution #241-2017* will appoint the Town Manager as Hearing Officer for the Town for 2018.
Resolution #242-2017* will designate the newspapers to received meeting notices.
Resolution #243-2017* will designate the newspapers to received legal ads.

Resolution #251-2017* will appoint Debbie Danielson as the Action Alliance Coordinator for the Town for 2018.

Resolution #253-2017* will approve the reimbursement of monies to Frank Philhower, Jr., due to him for health insurance premiums.
Resolution #254-2017* will designate the banks we can use as depositories for 2018.

Resolution #257-2017* will authorize and direct the Tax Collector to hold a tax sale in 2018.

THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake is 9 inches below the top of the spillway as of December 4, 2017.
Departments are working on end-of-the-year performance evaluations.
Don’t forget to RSVP to Sherri Kaylani for the annual employee holiday party which occurs on Friday, December 15th at 2pm at Sol Azteka.
Both the Court Administrator and Deputy Court Administrator positions have been properly advertised.
We met with Krogh’s representatives to talk about their Newton project and how buildings ownership and redevelopment options might better facilitate an improved financial position. To be continued…
Enjoyed watching the final presentation from the Seton Hall students on our market research project. Several students will be coming to our meeting Monday to present their findings. The project was a great success and it was a pleasure working with fellow Pirates.
