Lorraine’s office has prepared the minutes from the meetings from December 11th for consideration and approval.

This is for those that wish to address the Town Council but do not plan on staying for the whole meeting. There is a note to the public on the agenda to please keep their comments to a maximum of 5 minutes and limited to one turn at the microphone. This allows ample time for all whom wish to speak and keeps the meeting moving forward. The public can speak on any matter.

Winners of the House Decorating Contest will be presented with a certificate and gift card from the Mayor.
The Mayor will swear-in our two new police officers, Anthony J. Keiling and Donald J. Meisinger, Jr.
We will break briefly for our new officers to take pictures.

Resolution #271-2017* will appoint various Board and Commission members.
Resolution #272-2017* will authorize a contract award to NJ Fence LLC for the installation of backstops at the ballfields.
Resolution #273-2017* will authorize a refund of taxes due to a senior citizen deduction Block 8.06, Lot 13.
Resolution #274-2017* will authorize an increase of $18,000 for the System-Wide Sanitary Sewer Inspection Project for Mott MacDonald.
Resolution #275-2017* will accept the Liberty Street Project as complete.
Resolution #276-2017* will authorize a refund of taxes due to a veteran deduction for Block 7.07, Lot 8.
Resolution #277-2017* will authorize a refund of taxes due to a veteran deduction for Block 19.03, Lot 7.
Resolution #278-2017* will reappoint Tom Ferry as the Town’s Municipal Auditor for 2018.
Resolution #279-2017* will authorize executing an agreement with Ferraioli, Wielkotz, Cerullo & Cuva for auditing the Fire Department and Rescue Squad’s LOSAP for 2018.
Resolution #280-2017* will authorize the purchase of a police vehicle through the Cranford Police Cooperative Pricing System
Resolution #281-2017* will authorize the lease with option to purchase the above police vehicle through First Hope Bank.
Resolution #282-2017* will establish a Dedication by Rider for Surcharge for Mobile Video Recording System Trust Fund.
Resolution #283-2017* will cancel taxes for an “unknown owner” property.
Resolution #284-2017* will approve 2017 appropriation transfers.
Resolution #285-2017* will certify our hiring practices comply with the US EEOC requirements.
Resolution #286-2017* will cancel a Water Sewer Utility appropriation in the amount of $42,000.
Resolution #287-2017* will approve bills and vouchers for payment.

Resolution #288-2017 will authorize going into Closed Session for my annual performance review.
THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake is 11 inches below the top of the spillway as of December 18, 2017.
We had our first meeting to discuss PBA/SOA contracts. I look forward to working collaboratively on same in a timely fashion.
I have offered the DMCA position to someone who will start service on January 9, 2018.
We have concluded interviews for the CMCA position and hope to have someone onboard by the end of January.
I have concluded my service on the SCEDP board and thank Tammie Horsfield for the honor.
Ursula and I attended a discussion led by Dr. Greene on the school litigation funding down in North Brunswick. Litigation plans are moving forward accordingly.
My annual performance reviews for department heads has concluded; appreciate the 360 feedback from everyone and thank you for a great 2017 and here’s to a successful and healthy 2018 for everyone!
