THE WEEK IN REVIEW
I want to thank Ptl. Dan Finkle and all those who coordinated the NFD 175th Anniversary Celebration at the Fire Museum on Saturday.
I also want to thank Chief Richards and the Police Department for the Monument Ceremony on Monday evening.
The DPW was busy this week working on paving Merriam Avenue. Weather unfortunately caused some delays.
The Water Department continued working on service connections along Merriam Avenue.
Tilcon will not be on site on October 1st due to the forecast for rain. The paving of Lot #3 Western Plaza will be completed next Saturday.
Open enrollment for health insurance will commence on Tuesday, October 11th and run until Friday, November 4th. Deb Carter will once again coordinate same.
I want to wish our friends of the Jewish faith a very happy Rosh Hashanah (new year). Shanah Tovah!
I want to congratulate Coach Trudgeon on his retirement! On behalf of all employees and volunteers, I thank him for his years of dedicated service to the Town of Newton, and wish him and his family the best of health and happiness.
