There are interviews scheduled for volunteer candidates beginning at 6:30pm prior to the next regular Town Council meeting on Monday, May 14, 2018 which begins at 7:00pm.
Morris Lake is 3 inches above the top of the spillway as of April 23, 2018.
Kudos to Deb Danielson, Kat Walker, DPW and scores of volunteers who made NHN another wonderful success!
Many thanks to OEM for coordinating the fire drill at the municipal building this week. Other drills are being planned in the future.
I am also working with OEM on the written plan for obtaining medications from the Strategic National Stockpile during times of emergency. It is intended to be an attachment to our municipal EOP and will be formally adopted by the Town.
We have finalized our agreement with the Swim Team for annual use of the municipal pool and give thanks for their efforts.
Wednesday was a great day for Newton as we formally opened the RPM Newton Town Centre senior housing building on Spring Street! What started out as a simple vision turned into wonderful housing, a spacious senior community center and awesome new retail space. My thanks and appreciation to RPM, staff, professionals, and all who made this $15 million investment in Newton possible – on to the next exciting project!

Routine business discussed at the HIF meeting in Randolph this week.
I attended the quarterly 24th Legislative District meeting in Andover Borough today. We appreciate the efforts of our great legislators on important issues such as fair school funding.
