Sunday, November 11th is Veterans Day – many thanks to the men and women who have proudly worn the uniform of our nation in its defense. Municipal offices are closed Monday, November 12th in observance of the holiday.
Our next regular Town Council meeting is at 7:00pm, on Monday, November 26, 2018. At 5:00pm that evening we will have the interviews for Sewer Engineer.
Morris Lake is 5 inches above the top of the spillway as of November 5, 2018.
The Parking Authority has recommended the creation of 44 additional overnight parking spaces in Central Plaza Lot #4. An ordinance regarding same will be introduced on November 26th.
The Parking Authority also supported a resolution authorizing a contract with J. Caldwell & Associates to investigate the possibility of acquiring properties in order to create additional downtown parking. I will keep you posted.
Congratulations to all newly elected and re-elected government officials! May they serve the public with honor and distinction.
As per your request, I am working with staff on recommendations for shared services opportunities.
I have updated the annual salary ordinance for introduction in December. We did a comprehensive review of all existing and anticipated positions as well as look at the entry-level salaries to stay ahead of the curve from Trenton.
