I attended the annual all-boards meeting of Atlantic Health System in Morristown on Tuesday. It is always a great opportunity to hear directly from senior executives at AHS about all of the terrific investments they are making in Newton Medical Center and their other facilities.
We had our quarterly safety committee meeting with our new consultant from Statewide Insurance. We look forward to maintaining our excellent track record as we move forward with new professionals onboard.
I met with Matt Morris (our conflict planner) this week to talk about the exciting plans for the new building to replace the dilapidated Bula’s building on Spring Street. Said application will be before the PB on May 15th.
I met with Dr. Connolly this week to talk about the SCCC progress at McGuire’s. We look forward to continuing the positive dialogue on this important downtown project.
Michelle continues to work on exciting recreation events for children and families this summer at Memory Park and elsewhere.
Kimberly is finalizing plans for the two movie nights this summer at Memory Park as well as the two concerts sponsored by Thorlabs to be held at SCCC. The summer will be full of many exciting activities in the Town of Newton for individuals of all ages and interests.
Have a great weekend!
Yours in Service,
