A reminder that the Main Street Newton “Tour of Art” will commence tomorrow at 5pm. Check out artwork from 35 renowned artists at various locations throughout the downtown. Hope to see you around!

Our next Town Council meeting is Monday, May 23rd, with an Executive Session at 6:00pm and the Regular Meeting at 7:00pm.

The Morris Lake Reservoir was 1 inch above the top of the spillway on 5.9.11.

We met with Harold Pellow this week to go over the reconstruction of the alleys near Brenda’s Diner and the Springboard Shoppes. Harold will prepare an estimate for our review and approval.

The visit to Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, Wisconsin went very well this week as the Fire Department Truck Committee painstakingly went over every detail of our new ladder truck. The new Tower 804 should be coming to her new home in early June. I want to personally thank the Committee for their efforts.

The Town will have a new prosecutor starting May 24th as Victor Jusino is leaving his law firm to accept a new position in the Warren County’s Prosecutor’s Office. We wish Victor well and look forward to appointing his replacement at our May 23rd meeting.

Enjoy your weekend!
