THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake is one inch below the top of the spillway as of August 26, 2019.
We received four banking proposals yesterday. Our committee is reviewing same and will make a recommendation of award to the Council.
The job advertisement for CFO concludes tomorrow. We have several interesting candidates which I am in the process of reviewing for potential interviews in September.
The business videos done by KKPR came out great. My thanks to Kimberly and Katrina and the entire production/editing team!
Also, the video for Newton Day came out equally spectacular. Same will debut at the next Council meeting. Besides showcasing Newton in a wonderful light, the production quality speaks to our aspirational goals about how we are working collaboratively to move the Town to the next level of excellence.
Effective Tuesday, September 3rd, Kenny Jaekel will be focusing his time on the Water/Sewer operations with Joe Carr and the team while Adam Vough and Rick Straway manage the day-to-day operations of the rest of the DPW responsibilities. I look forward to working with everyone to ensure all projects are managed appropriately.
Regular office hours commence next week as summer hours conclude. I hope everyone had a fun and enjoyable summer.
Have a great weekend! Be safe.
Yours in Service,
