There are still power outages in Newton as of 12:35pm today – Clinton Street, Emmons Avenue, Hillside Avenue, Hillside Terrace, Lake Avenue, Landmark West Apartments, Linmor Avenue, Mill Street, and Park Avenue. Fuel is in limited supply so please limit your travel as much as possible. If you do travel, please watch out for debris and fallen power lines.
Remember to set your clocks back this weekend as Daylight Saving Time ends.
The Halloween holiday will occur on Monday, November 5th as per an Executive Order by NJ Governor Chris Christie. The Newton Halloween Parade will occur on November 5th at 6:00pm.
Our next Council meeting is Monday, November 26th at 6:00pm. Jessica and Stuart will be on hand to briefly discuss their progress on the visioning process.

The Morris Lake Reservoir was 28 inches below the top of the spillway on 10.29.12. The water use restrictions remain in effect.

A reminder that municipal offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 6th, Presidential Election Day and Monday, November 12th in observance of Veterans’ Day.
Municipal offices will close at 3:00pm on Wednesday, November 21st, and be closed on Thursday, November 22nd and Friday, November 23rd, for Thanksgiving. Gobble Gobble.
The annual GNCC Holiday Parade will be on Saturday, November 24th at 10:00am. Santa Claus is coming to town!
