The Recreation Department is constantly evaluating the Town's needs in order to improve facilities for recreational leisure time activities. Town citizens will be able to enjoy the following improvements:
- Pine Street and Summit Pond have been dredged
- The roof on the building at Summit Pond has been replaced
- The shelter at Memory Park has been removed for an area to be developed in the future
- The Tee Ball field has been completed at the upper Memory Park recreational facility
- The Newton Pool and Bath House have been recently updated
