Accomplishments since in office: Sponsor of the Economic Development Commission, Sponsored a Rural Enterprise Zone in Newton, Sponsored a Taste of Newton in partnership with Newton Chamber of Commerce, Working to produce better communications between the Town and County Government.

Contributions to the Town prior to being elected: Zoning Officer; Land Use Administrator; Fair Housing Officer; Housing Rehabilitation Administrator; Implemented program to offer free snow shoveling assistance for senior citizens in conjunction with students of Newton Public Schools.

Accomplishments since in office:

  1. Kept location of County Government Offices in downtown Newton.
  2. Installation of lighting for ball fields at Memory Park.
  3. Construction of additional ball fields at Memory Park.
  4. Purchase of new truck for Fire Department.
  5. Provided funding for Senior Citizen Facility.
  6. Upgrade of Recycling Center.
  7. Implemented free 2 hour parking on Spring Street.
  8. Worked closely with Greater Newton Chamber of Commerce to assure economic viability of the downtown business area.
  9. Construction of New Public Works Facility.
  10. Construction of new facilities for the Police Department.

Personal information: 46 year resident of the Town of Newton. Member of the Sussex County Planning Awards Committee, Member of the Board of Trustees for the Sussex County Economic Development Partnership, Member of the Sussex County Strategic Growth Management Plan, Member of the Newton Utility Advisory Board, Member of Board of Directors for the Greater Newton Chamber of Commerce.

2008 Final and 2009 Preliminary Tax Bills were mailed on Wednesday, July 23, 2008.
The 3rd quarter 2008 (8/1/2008) must be received by August 19, 2008. After which, it will be deemed delinquent with interest accruing from August 1, 2008.
