The investigation report along with the video were received on Thursday and is currently being reviewed by Dave Simmons to determine the best way to fix the joints that have come apart. The repair should be determined within the next week and then supplies and cost will be obtained to complete the repair.
The Martorana application was carried to the April Planning Board meeting.
Congratulations to the NFAS on an enjoyable annual dinner held this week at Trinity Lounge. In spite of the weather, everyone had a great time and we appreciate their service and dedication to the town.
A kiosk and flat-panel screen are being installed in the lobby of the Municipal Building to track the usage and savings of our new solar panels at DPW and WWTP.
We have come to terms with the UPSEU and said MOA will be discussed (in Exec.) and voted on at the April 8th meeting. My thanks to the members for their hard work and commitment to concluding the negotiations quickly and amicably.

For those of you that donated generously to the 2012 holiday charity grab bag, there is a “thank you” pizza party in my conference room on Friday, April 5th at Noon – please advise Terri of your attendance.
Also, Friday, April 5th is Hockey Jersey Day here in the Town of Newton – very exciting! Wear your favorite team’s colors – preference is given to those that wear Rangers red, white and blue, of course. Bonus points if you dust off your Charlestown Chiefs jersey for the Hanson Brothers!
Stay safe and have a great weekend!
