Lots of great feedback on the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and celebration – my thanks to all staff and volunteers who participated or supported this fun event.
On Tuesday, April 1st at Noon we will have the ribbon cutting ceremony for the 350th New Jersey Anniversary pop-up display @ the Springboard Shoppes. Said display will be in Newton from April 1st thru April 12th. We are one of 15 locations in NJ that have this honor - check it out!
Our next Town Council meeting will be Monday, April 14th at 7:00pm.
THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake was 9 inches below the top of the spillway on 3.24.14.
We had our first planning meeting for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) that we are looking to establish jointly with Andover Township. I will keep you posted.
The first press release went out for Neighbors Helping Neighbors IV. The event will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 8:30am at Town Hall. We look forward to a productive day of volunteerism.
We are working on a critical facilities list with JCP&L which will help us plan for and handle future adverse events.
Plans are moving forward for the Hicks Avenue redevelopment plan modifications. We will continue to work on this.
The annual Sussex County Chamber of Commerce “Quality in Business, Quality in Living” dinner was extremely well attended. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees.
