THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake was ½ inch above the top of the spillway on 6.9.14.
The pool project is just about completed. Plumbing and electrical inspections for the project have passed along with the 5-year bonding certificate. The pool has been filled and the new filter system has been turned on. Cypreco will be finishing up the necessary punch list items and should be done by end of next week.
Pumping Services is just about completed with the work on the Woodside Avenue pump station. Thank you to the DPW for the work they did on the concrete pad.
Reorganization invites have gone out. A reminder that our reorganization is Tuesday, July 1st at 6:00pm here at Town Hall.
I want to thank Dep. Mayor Elvidge, Councilman-elect Levante, Gina Thomas, and Theresa Iliff for joining me on our road trip to Red Bank. The improvement district organization is very impressive and we ascertained a lot of information. We will be scheduling additional visits to Morristown, Somerville, and Westfield this summer.
Terri and I spoke with CivicPlus about adding some new features to our Town website. I will keep you posted.
Routine matters were discussed at the monthly Statewide Insurance Fund meeting.
Today was our quarterly managers/administrators meeting in Hardyston.
Enjoy your weekend! Let’s Go Rangers!
Yours for a Better Newton,
