THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake is 3 inches above the top of the spillway as of March 25, 2019.
We received great cost estimates for electricity during our two energy auctions which took place on Tuesday (and we were able to finally add the Parking Authority accounts – thanks Terri!).
I reviewed the 10-year Sewer Capital Budget as expertly prepared by PCI and staff – well done. I eagerly await the 10-year Water Capital Budget from Dave Simmons and staff.
Work is still being done on draft ordinances for C. 57 Animals and a new soil removal ordinance recommended by our Town Engineer.
We appreciate the time spent by Deputy Mayor Flynn and Councilman Dickson this week reviewing the condition of the Newton Pool. Gratitude also to all staff members who have diligently worked on same.
We met with Tri-State Rentals this week to learn about this need for additional space at their current location on Sparta Avenue. We are working on some options for same.
Great to see such a wonderful turnout for the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce awards dinner last evening – congratulations to all winners and nominees.
Congrats to Jose Morales and Scott Vertetis on their recent retirements! Best wishes to them.
Lots of real estate transactions underway on/near Spring Street corridor – great things are coming – keep you posted…
Have a great weekend! Go Yankees! (and Mets, too, I guess…)
Yours in Service,
