APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Lorraine’s office has prepared the minutes from the June 24, 2019 Regular meeting for your consideration and approval.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
This is for those that wish to address the Town Council but do not plan on staying for the whole meeting. There is a note to the public on the agenda to please keep their comments to a maximum of 5 minutes and limited to one turn at the microphone. This allows ample time for all whom wish to speak and keeps the meeting moving forward. The public can speak on any matter.
Mayor Le Frois will swear-in Thomas Tosti as our newest Sergeant in the Police Department. Congratulations Tom!
Paige Lockburner of the Sussex County Department of Health will give a brief presentation on ticks.
COUNCIL & MANAGER REPORTS
Each Councilmember can give an update on various items or Board/Commission actions that have taken place recently.
We have one ordinance for Introduction:
Ordinance 2019-7 will revise Chapter 57 and Chapter 320 regarding animals as previously discussed.
Resolution #156-2019* will approve the vacation and sick leave time payout for recent retiree Steven Benson.
Resolution #157-2019* will cancel capital appropriation and grant receivable balances.
Resolution #158-2019* will approve the submission of a grant application to DOT for Halsted Street and Madison Street – Section II Project.
Resolution #159-2019* will authorize the Tax Collector to hold an electronic tax sale.
Resolution #160-2019* will authorize fees to be charged for the electronic tax sale notices.
Resolution #161-2019* will authorize executing an agreement with Planet Networks, Inc. for the use of public right-of-ways for fiber optic cabling.
Resolution #162-2019* will approve bills and vouchers for payment.
1. An application for a Special Permit for a Social Affair from the GNCC for the Taste of Newton on Spring Street. Councilwoman Diglio will recuse from same.

Resolution 163-2019 will authorize going into closed session to discuss contract negotiations. Information on this topic has been shared with you on the Google Drive.
