APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Lorraine’s office has prepared the minutes from the August 5 and 26, 2019 Regular meetings and August 5, 2019 Executive meeting for your consideration and approval.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
This is for those that wish to address the Town Council but do not plan on staying for the whole meeting. There is a note to the public on the agenda to please keep their comments to a maximum of 5 minutes and limited to one turn at the microphone. This allows ample time for all whom wish to speak and keeps the meeting moving forward. The public can speak on any matter. Council may choose to comment after the entire public portion has concluded.
COUNCIL & MANAGER REPORTS
Each Councilmember can give an update on various items or Board/Commission actions that have taken place recently.
Suburban Consulting Engineers and SESI Consulting Engineers will give a presentation on their findings regarding the Newton municipal pool.
There is one ordinance for introduction:
Ordinance 2019-8 will amend the salary ordinance relative to the Chief Financial Officer’s salary range.
Resolution #190-2019* will award the Replacement of the Grit Collector bid to BR Welding, Inc.
Resolution #191-2019* will insert monies received for the Municipal Alliance Grant into the 2019 Budget.
Resolution #192-2019* will amend the contract with David Simmons for calendar year 2019.
Resolution #193-2019* will approve using the Bid #ESCNJ/AEPA-17-F for Tremco to perform necessary repairs and restoration for roof at PD and TH.
Resolution #194-2019* will authorize auctioning of surplus property (phones) no longer needed for public use.
Resolution #195-2019* will appoint school crossing guards for the upcoming school year.
Resolution #196-2019* will insert monies received for the Tobacco Free Grant into the 2019 Budget.
Resolution #197-2019* will authorize credits due utility accounts.
Resolution #198-2019* will approve bills and vouchers for payment.
