Neighborhood Preservation Program - NPP
In October 2021, the Town of Newton was awarded a 5-year designation by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Neighborhood Preservation Program (NPP) which includes an initial $125,000 grant to generate visible, tangible change driven by local residents and business owners. It is anticipated that the Town of Newton will receive up to $125,000 a year for five years to assist with economic and community development.

Summer 2022
Plants and flowers were delivered and installed in 58 self-watering planters on Spring Street. These planters are designed with a wicking system and water only needs to be added once a month in drought conditions! They use less water, are maintenance free and are down right attractive!

Fall/Winter 2022/2023
We hired a local artist to paint winter scenes on several windows along Spring Street. It added to the cozy festive feeling of the season and was appreciated by many people, both young and old!
Facade and Signage Improvements - Ongoing
